I have a contract phone with MTN that I signed for in November 2011 and my monthly instalment is R299. In February this year I've noticed that they are deducting R730.49. I immediately called their call centre, and I was told I took a laptop and data card in January. I told the them that I didn't take anything from them except the phone. The consultant called Mike said I should fax the ID copy and an affidavit so that this can be investigated. I've sent the first documents through MTN Hemmingways on the 27/03/13, and the second one myself on the 06/06/13. The response I get from them when enquiring about them is that they received nothing from me.

Now what surprises me is that they are so fast in handing my account over without even hearing a word from them. They never bothered to follow up on my query as I was calling them to check on how far is their investigation. Now I'm told that my account is standing on R12.000. I do not think it will be fair for me to pay somebody else's expenses, and that person is using an 081 number for the card and my number is 083 252 8899. PLEASE HELP!!
