Line not cancelled after 6 months & numerous calls

After cancelling my Telkom line in March 2013 and receiving a reference number, it has still not been cancelled. After numerous calls (over 14) each with a log reference and promises of the matter being escalated, i have still not received feedback and am still receiving bills each month. The account was even handed over to a debt collections agency which they withdrew after i gave them all my reference numbers, calls made and agents names with whom I have spoken to over the last 6 months. No one has called me back or actioned this matter from customer services, accounts, cancellations or faults department. One example of the incompetence is after following up with the cancellations deaprtment on my 8th attempt to resolve the issue I was told the line had not been cancelled but mistakenly logged as a fault. This is bizarre because after I cancelled the line a sales agent from Telkom called to offer me a discount on my line rental and ADSL if I reversed the cancellation! This is unaccaptable. I refuse to pay for a service that I am not receiving. The line has not worked since January. I adhered to 1 month cancellation policy. I want this line cancelled and all charges reversed!
