Cell C
14 months after contract termination, still paying

After settling all Cell C accounts after termination of our internet contract some 14 months ago, we are now being told we need to pay outstanding amounts and are being handed over to lawyers. This after we have not received any invoices sms's or emails informing us that we have an amount outstanding.

When phoning Cell C, and being kept on hold for more than 20 min, they are very unhelpful, they cant tell us where this amount comes from. They don't want to give us the legal departments number or provide the names of people to speak to. Operators don't want to give their names.

I spent a whole afternoon just trying to find out where to go with my proof of payment. And if that not enough, i am told i will be responsible for the lawyer fees incurred by Cell C!!

This is unacceptable and its suspicious. I have advised all my friends not ever get a Cell C contract.
