Why am I paying for something I can't use?

My family and I have been Cell C customers for years. Since June, the downloading speed on my speedstick dropped to 0.00, 95% of the time. When it does work on occasion, it is extremely slow and sluggish. Which means, since I paid R1300 for data for the year, it is a complete waste. We have 3 cell phones in the house, with little to no signal reception on all 3. When I complained about this at the branch in Newcastle, they told me that the problem is the sim cards and the phones that are too old and that they need to be replaced. After buying new phones and sim swopping all 3 sim's, the problem is still not resolved. And even after buying a new data package, there is still no internet connection!! After sending in a whole bunch of complaints, one would expect that the matter will be investigated and resolved. Why are we paying dearly for a service we cannot use???
