Extremely slow connection speeds and dropped conns

I recently bought a USB data modem from Cell C with a 3gb package because their coverage map clearly showed that my house was located in an area that receives signal for their high speed wireless data services.

I get four bars of signal, but it seldom connects, often drops the connection a minute later, and when connected is extremely slow.By slow, I mean its slower than those old dial up modems for those of us old enough to remember them.

Their support technician was well spoken, but all he could do was tell me that there were problems in the area, that they would be solved shortly, and that I must get in touch with them to check again later.

Not good enough. If there were problems with the network then the staff selling me the USB modem should have said something, and I should not have to chase after them after logging a support call.

Get it sorted Cell C or I expect a full refund on the basis that I bought 3gb of data and haven't received it.
