Charged for zero service

I am being charged by MTN every month for the service I am not receiving. My money get deducted every month via debit order as soon as I enquire about the deduction they cut the use of my number and this is the second time that they do that. I had a one year contract with them from 2010 December till 2011 December which went on until 2012 November because I thought since I signed for one year it will end automatically and was not told I have to cancel it. I cancelled it Nov 2012 but they still continued to deduct money monthly and sent no airtime the contract was for monthly airtime and sms bundles. Now they say I was in arrears and my account with their legal department that is why they cut the service yet they deduct money monthly for the contract that I cancelled. My matter is handled by a lot of people and each one is coming with their own understanding of this story and nobody is resolving my problem. The reference number is 6992087 in a week five different people handled my complaint how are they going to understand it because it is new everyday to that new person handling it. I need the cell phone number back in use and my money plus bank charges refunded.
