PHONE WITH NO COVER

Hi, i send in my Nokia N9 for repairs and they informed me that they are unable to repair the phone as it was discontinued and they are willing to replace it with a Lumnia 900 - when i handed in N9 they gave me back my cover and when i collected the Lumnia it cam without a cover, i went back to the store and requested a cover and Zoleka informed me that i am ungratefull as they gave me a smarter phone then the one that i had, she said is like driving a Golf 1 and someone gives u a Golf 6 - but my point is you can give a Golf 6 without tyres as how will i be able to drive the vehicle, on the same note how can i have a phone wihout a cover as the cover for he N9 i cannot use nor give it away as it comes standard with the phone. i would like MTN to give the cover in order to keep my phone in a tip top condition or wheels in oder to drive my vehicle.
