8ta card not working in iPad 3 even after replaced

I loaded R150 airtime on the 29th August and purchased a data bundle for R149 to use in my iPad, once inserted into the iPad it had 'no service' . Was able to get to a telkom direct store 31 August and the agent contacted the technical department and was advised that their old sim cards don't work in the newer iPad as the programming of the old cards were not up to scratch, I was replaced with a newer micro sim and upon inserting into the iPad in the store it also gave had 'no service' but was told it would take some time to activate. More then 48 hours later and still not active/ also not working in my iPad. Now I will, due to time lapse, forfeit the free airtime/data/sms's and also losing days on using the data as it will expire in 28 days. Needless to say the telkom direct close to me cannot assist and the only other time I would be able to go and spend 1 hour in the store while they figure a solution out is on Saturday because they don't answer the store phones so it cannot be per- arranged to resolve my problem. Kindly advise where to get the Simcard that will work in my iPad, whether my time to use the free airtime and purchased data bundle will be extended or refund me.
