3GB Depleted Inexplicably

Yesterday at around 6pm, I purchased R150 airtime from my Cellphone banking to the number that I'm using for data on my iPad. I followed the required steps to convert the airtime to data using the 8ta App by buying a 2 1 GB special. Normally after I do this, a screen telling me to switch my network connection to flight mode briefly comes up &it did this time. After doing that for five minutes, I switched my connection back on and started browsing but to my surprise, the data was depleted shortly. I phoned in and was told by Zayaan that my "airtime failed to convert to data". She said when she loads airtime on her cellphone or data she receives an sms confirming her top up. I advised her that I was using an iPad and the only message service I have on it is my e-mail and I have never received any such confirmation from 8ta since I've started using this number.
I followed the necessary steps required of me in converting my airtime to a data bundle and for the first time your system failed to do so. I need to be able to use the data I purchased from 8ta or the balance thereof as I trusted that your service would work no different than it always has
