I took out a 24 months cellphone contract with 8ta/Telkommobile everything went well for the first 12 months. One month into the remaining 12 months has been a nightmare. 8ta just suddenly stopped debitting my account. This went on for about 3 months until I picked it up and advise them. I reported this and they look into it and I was told I need to go and deposit the payment in their ABSA account using a reference allocated to me. Everything seem to be going fine as I noticed that they were able to debit my account. In just 5 months, the problem mentioned above is back. 8ta wasn't debitting my account again. As usual, I picked this up on my statement after 3 months. The bill is running at R1 900.00, I contacted them and ask why they couldn't debit the account and I was told I needed to depost the R1 900.00 as it was due. I asked that the money be debitted on my account but, I received a message telling me that they cannot debit (I don't know the reason why) as there was money on my bank account. On the 23/08/2013 an amount of R1 550.00 was debitted on my account by 8ta but, our agreed debit date is the last (30) day of the month. With that, I still receive notification to pay.
