I went to MTN to ugrade my contract on the 23rd of April 2013. I chose a contract that was on special until the 30th of April 2013 and discussed it with Brian. He then did all the admin and I then received my new phone. I had to go back on the 1st of May 2013 to sign the upgrade contract. I confirmed with Brian that even though I'm signing the contract after the special had ended, I would still get the special contract. The special was R200.00 airtime, 200mb and 200 sms's for R369.00. I wanted it on a top-up instead of an open line and I was told by Brian that it would be an additional R10.00 a month resulting in my monthly payment being R379.00. When I was debited the first month and subsequent months it was different amounts than was agreed upon. I also did not get the benefits as on the special contract. I was told by various people that Brian had made a mistake and Brian admitted to his manager Jayson Koopman that he made a mistake and Jayson Koopman sent me an e-mail stating that there had been no mistake. I then wanted to cancel the contract and was told that it can not be cancelled. I will in future not deal with MTN as I am desperately unhappy with the service rendered.
