Bad Customer Service?

I'm a regular Spar customer and supporter of the mentioned store in Strand. On 26 Oct I was at the shop and wanted a special offer which was advertised in the aisle, yet the shelve was empty. I approached the manager, Brian who said that they didn't have stock. I asked for a rain check, he said he didn't do that and that he didn't have to do it (the special had not expired) I asked him why couldn't he give me a rain check and asked why he was speaking to me in an arrogant tone and asked whether my skin colour had anything to do with it. He simply said I was arrogant and walked away. I was completely taken aback by his attitude. Not being very happy with that, I contacted the owner, Robin, on Monday and explained my disappointment in the way I was treated. Robin asked me whether I had called Brian a and I confirmed that Brian's attitude reflected that. Robin immediately sided with his manager and said that I was lying and he'd prefer to believe Brian who is his friend. So now I was even more perturbed. What kind of customer relations is pursued at Spar? Is this the way loyal customers are treated? If this is the status quo, I really do not want to be associated with Spar.
