My two cents about Afrihost

Telecommunications

While living on the staff complex of the company I work for, capped dsl became very expensive. I browsed around and came across Afrihost. I did some research and found them to be a worthwhile ISP. I signed up and lo and behold, great uncapped dsl at a great price. I went from 384kpbs to 512kpbs then to 1mbps and then 2mbps as my gaming needs grew.
It was internet bliss... Then I moved to a different suburb (where Telkom had no infrastructure to facilitate my line, but that's another story) From day one that my line was installed I had latency issues, disconnections. Afrihost manages my line so they are, in all respects, responsible for the maintenance and repair of it. In the 7 months that I have lived in my new home, I have had about 2 months of OK connections with low latencies.
Afrihost is a brilliant ISP to have as long as everything goes fine.
I have been asked for so many speedtests and tracrt results, I actualy created a folder on my hdd so that I can add to the collection everytime they ask.
As soon as my connection issues are fixed, I will change this sad face into a happy one. Untill then, I am stuck with 512kpbs speeds... at the best of times
