Poor internet connection for 3 weeks

We receive e-mails and place orders on the internet. We did not have any problems or dropped connections before but for the last 3 weeks we have intermittent internet connections. Sometimes it is on for 2 to 3 minutes then connection is dropped. The DSL goes off and that means it is the exchange that disconnected. I am totally sick and tired of this and need a solution very quickly or I will have to look at alternative service providers.
