Cell C
Changing terms of contract - Mid Term

Telecommunications

I was recently informed, via short sms, that Cell C has changed the terms of their fair use policy for Blackberry Contracts.

While I agree with the principal, that is not what I signed up for, and as such, I would like to cancel my contracts.

I informed Cell C of this, via email, and received a call from then, to "resolve" my query. The lady I spoke to just kept reading me the policy, no matter how much I told her I understand it, and that my complaint was that it is contrary to the consumer protection act (in my opinion), and that I was unaware that this could be done, and that I felt, if Cell C can change terms, then I too can cancel the contact at any time. She was unable to help, and escalated my query.

On Thursday 22 August, a gentleman called Patrick phoned from Cell C, he was very abrupt and borderline rude, and he too, just re-read the new policy, louder each time. He said Cell C can change the contract, which I feel is not right, and was not explained to me when I signed, which again is contrary to the consumer protection act, then mid sentace, the call dropped and he did not call back...

I do not know how to proceed, it feels like Cell C is being a big bully.
