Non Activation of SIM card and incompetent staff

I applied online for a new contract. Vodacom promises next day delivery. I ordered on 13 August and received the phone on 16 August. I have contacted Vodacom repeatedly for the activation of my SIM card and each consultant tells me a different story. This service, or lack thereof is simply unacceptable and not compliant with the Consumer Protection Act. The staff was incompetent. When applying for the contract, I requested my prepaid number to be ported. I had to then go into a store and was told firstly, the contract SIM must be activated and secondly that they can only do the port for me from Monday to Friday until 3pm. How am I supposed to into the store at these times when I am at work?? They simply refused to assist me... now, MORE THAN 24 HOURS LATER, my SIM is STILL not activated. I find this shocking and in bad taste as I have been a Vodacom customer since I was 14 years old. I basically have a useless phone which I cannot use... cannot port my number... and then the call centre agent has the audacity to request the cellphone number from me WHEN I TOLD HIM I DO NOT HAVE ONE AS MY SIM HAS NOT BEEN ACTIVATED!! To which he replies well then he cannot assist me!!!
