Pre paid Electricity

How does a pre-paid account go into arrears? I have purchased electricity, over the last couple of weeks, through the Standard Bank internet banking portal, and the SMS sent by the bank says "Standard Bank: 0.0Kwh purchase for R20.00 Elec Meter No 07086786337 Voucher ARREARS 20.0 Queries? 0860123000".

Furthermore, the amount of kWh seem to be decreasing with each purchase. My last purchase of R50-00 returned only 12kWh were sent. This is more then 50% less than what was receiving just a few months back. Lastly, my local Checkers told me that they had suspended the sale of Unipin prepaid electricity because of coplaints from uncertisfied customers, customers that complain about the low kWh they receive lately.

I have tried tocontact Unipin, through their e-mail, and I never got any help.

I withese meters had some sort of a SIM card, like the cellular networks, so that could try a different service provider. Suddenly, my electricity bill per month has more than double.
