Constant ADSL and line issues

I have had constant speed issues on my ADSL line.
Line has been dead for three days already and the call was only logged on the 14th.
I use the line for work and studies and cant go three days without my line working.
Then telkom use the excuse of 48 business hours which is 3- 4 days before a technician will come.
Its ridiculous. Can this not be prioritized
