60 days without a phone line!

Two months ago we picked up our phone and the line was completely dead. On 12/06/2013 we reported it for the first time and got a reference number 170CWK120613. They came to check and told us that there is a problem with the cable running underground and that they would be back to fix it. The second phone call to them was on 09/07/2013. Again we were told that they are dealing with the problem. The third call was on 24/07/2013. Again we were told that they have to fix the underground cable and that they are dealing with the problem. The last phone call was on 06/08/2013. It has now been 60 days since our first complaint and we are still without a phone line and internet. When Telkom decided to lay cables or lines underground, surely they must have thought about how they would fix it if something goes wrong. We have done nothing wrong from our side, yet we are being inconvenienced with no phone line. We cannot work from home as the ADSL is down, we have had to change our alarm system to a radio system and we have no phone line. What kind of service is this and we are still billed for a line!!!
