Vodacom
Billed for a returned cellphone

Telecommunications

A month ago, I received a Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus that was sold to me telephonically. Upon receipt of the phone, I was not happy and I returned the phone without activating the cell phone number
It came as a shocker that I was actually billed for a phone that I never utilised. I went to vodacom shop who then called the customer care line and i was told to e-mail [Email Removed] with a proof of debit. I never received any feedback from this, i then called customer services to make a follow up, who then transferred me to accounts dep. I was advised that the request will have to be sent through to cancellation dep, to credit my account which takes 7-14 working days. I still did not understand why should i be Inconvenienced for an error that was made by vodacom. I was promised to have the account credited sooner than the 14 days. I was supposed to receive communicatian via text stating when my account will be credited. I did not receive any feedback until today, i then called the cancellation department and i was advised that they still need to log a service request because they did not get an instruction to log a service request. 9 Days gone but still no credit!
