On the 23 of July I contacted the MTN call centre in order to find when my next contract upgrade was due and was told only next year however should I want an earlier upgrade I'm suppose to pay in X amount. I than decided to go into the Somerset Mall branch on Saturday the 10 August 2013 and was told to pay in R2090.00 cash in order to cancel my existing contract and then to take out a new contract. I then asked the sales consultant to cancel the first contract and to do a number swop and was told they do not do this in-store. After speaking to 8 different call centre agents and having to repeat myself over and over again, I insisted on speaking to an supervisor or team leader and was told at 12h40 today that the supervisor with the name of Yonqama was gonna call me back before 14h00 today and is still waiting as its 20h00 already. I was told by Aderlee from their call centre that I had to pay R114.13 before cancellation can happen. the billing dept. (Ronel) says im in credit of R1884.01. went to the mtn store. spoke the manager Steven whom said that could only escalate the query. i left the cell phone with him. he however indicated that i must pay a cancellation fee. return policy NCA
