I continue to experience ongoing problems with Cell C, largely due to instructions not being acted upon with any sort of intelligence or even evidence of competence. As a result of endless problems with Cell C, I decided that I will pass on the phone to a family member, as it was impossible to use Cell C as a reliable provider. Calls get cut off without notice (at least Vodacom and MTN you can hear the break and predict that the service will be cutt-off. Cell C cleanly cut you off that you end up talking not knowing you have been cut-off. This often happens while one is talking to Cell C agents-and they never call back). I had to pay R50 for a sim-swap because apparently the technology could not allow Cell C to relegate my present sim card to a secondary. Then, I had to buy another sim card as secondary and that too cost R50 and yet the muddle the instructions that it took several phone calls and visits to their Cresta and Sandton City locations. No sense of responsibility or even apology for the shocking service, as if they are coached not to be nice or even apologised. I would not recommend Cell C to even my worst enemy.
