At - 11:20 on 5-Aug-13 I contacted the call center and spoke to Samantha. My complaint arises from the fact that I have been billed by Opera Telecom for the past 3 months for a subscription service that I did not activate. Contacting Opera Telecom's they do not have record of my cellphone number on their system. They did pick up a service for my data card number. After explaining the process that if I did subscribe to the service, I would have received a SMS to that number and that on confirmation Vodacom would then activate the service and I would be billed. Fair enough. I requested the service to be cancelled and I was told that I would receive a confirmation SMS on the data card number. The SMS has not been received. As this is my data card and it is in my Ipad, then the activation SMS would have been received there. I do not have such a recollection. Trying to explain this to Samantha was met with the typical "It is not Vodacom's problem" response. According to Opera Telecom it is also not their problem. Asking to be put through to a manager at Vodacom was not successful. Please Vodacom just refund the money so that I do not have to waste my time getting to the bottom of this!
