I have been a customer of Vodacom for many years, but due to recent disappointments decided to end my cell phone contract with them. The contract was due for renewal within the following week.

I personally went to the Vodacom shop in Centurion mall, where I was told they cannot end the contract in store.
They gave me a phone number and told me to phone this number to cancel my contract.
I should mention that the assistant in store tried to phone on my behalf, but even he could not get through.
The following day I tried the number several times, bur never once was the call answered. I was put on hold for extended periods of time, with no indication of when I will be helped.

As a doctor I do not have the time to be put on hold for hours at a time, to do something as simple as cancel a contract. This seems like a ploy to discourage customers from leaving Vodacom.
I would love an explanation regarding the very poor service provided.
