Chargd R171 reconnection fee for short payment R52

I received my bill late in the post and had made a payment vis EFT of the amount that iexpected the bill to be.
the nxt few weeks my kids inform me that we dont have the internet service only to find out that my telephone line was cut becasue i had short paid 52. i immediately made the payment and called telkom to inform them and to also ask why did i not receive any communication in regards to the line being cut. i was told that an sms was sent to my husbands cell, which he did not receive.

this month in my bill i also get charged R171 to reconnect the line which i think is a rip off!
