MTN SP Contract

Telecommunications

I had two contract phones with the company. One lost one of my starter pack during August last year, I asked them to suspend the number because it was lost. The contract in question was expiring end November of the year. I called beginning October to migrate to prepaid and they told me I must call the day after the expiry date. I did so on their advice but i was told that since the contract was on suspension I cannot migrate. But my question is that, since I called and enquire about this and was the person not suppose to give me advice then that since the number is on suspension its not possible to migrate to prepaid. Then I said they must cancel the number because I didn't want to continue with that contract, they said its not possible because I was supposed to give 30 days' notice! But the fact that I called MTN and gave my intention of not wanting to continue with the contract should count and it's not my fault because i was not properly advised by their consultant. Another problem with this company is that they don't remind you when the contract is expiring, its like a trick because you tend to forget about this things. I was charged for the airtime was not using all this time.
