Dear Reader,

I've bought a Nokia N97 phone on contract back in 2009 and looking back it was the worst decision I have ever made.

First is started when MTN stop with the monthly deduction by debit order and I had to transfer the money through EFT and send the proof of payments to a MTN customer representative.

Even that was a problem because when you call the MTN customer service (spoke to several departments /call agents such as legal), they simply say that the money doesn't reflect in there system although the proof of payments was send to them.

After several frustrating calls with MTN I just gave up and my account was handed over to VVM, meanwhile I already paid like R3000 on my MTN account.

Dealing with VVM may be the worst experience I ever had with a company. Vague balance statement with total due amounts that changed every week.

Mails are not being answered, long phone calls and the problem got even worse now.

Both my MTN simcards are blocked since 2010 and now I am paying for services that I didn't even get.
A 2yrs contract that would cost me R9600, cost now almost R16000 (including VVM interest of R4000 all those fees)

Really disappointing customer
