Three/Four months after signing up for an R18 p/m airtime and sms contract, I was being billed monthly with an amount of R28 which I did not agree to. Upon phoning MTN I was told that it was in my contract although the recorded conversation would indicate otherwise and I could not cancel the contract as there was a penalty clause I had to pay.
I endured for two years and was contacted on the 18th July 2013 for an upgrade, I told the sales rep to forward me an email with the contract which he said he cannot do so I told him to forward me the details of the phone they offered me and I would think about it but I am not agreeing to anything.
On the the 22nd July 2013 (yesterday), I received an sms saying that I was upgraded which infuriated me and I phoned MTN direct who did not even apologise and said they would investigate and come back to me.
I had to phone again this morning (23 July 2013) and I cancelled the contract which I was told would take 24 hours and I will be back on prepaid.
Now Roland informed me that I can not carry my airtime over which I would think I am entitled to.
Got twice now by MTN and they also tried to upgrade me without my consent.
