Cell C customer for 6 yrs but after, no more

I have been a Cell C customer for over 6 years, and have always come to their defence when others have questioned or have spoken badly of their product or service. No more, I have now been duped by them and as soon as I am in a position to do so, will not renew my contract with them.

Cell C advertised the S4 with 1GB of data monthly, which I took up as an upgrade on 9 June 2013. I confirmed with the salesperson at their Clearwater branch that this would come into effect immediately. When I received my first bill however it was over R1000 due to the fact that I used the free data I was promised, but was not given it, thus was charged data fees. I logged 2 calls 3071200573/1307170000154925 only to be told that I would only be given data from August. Not only was I told differently by the salesperson, but I have to pay for their dishonesty - UNACCEPTABLE. To me this amounts to, and is surely against the NCA? I feel cheated and cannot stay with Cell C for a minute longer than I have to, so once this contract comes to an end, I will have no choice but to port to another provider, by which time I was a Cell C customer for 8 years.
