Upgrade done with incorrect contract!!

I upgraded to an Apple Iphone5 last year, whereby my contract was supposedly changed to an IPHONE TALK 240. After receiving extortionate bills I went into a customer care centre to investigate the unreasonable costs my upgrade had accumulated, only to find Vodacom had not changed my contract and had kept me on a Blackberry BIS contract. I was told it would cost me R3500 to upgrade me to a contract I was already supposed to be on! My data costs are through the roof and I'm being charged R1 per meg of data downloaded. This has rendered my cell phone completely useless as I have switched off all data as I cannot afford to have a contract costing me R3000 a month!
I cannot wait until I can cancel my existing contract with Vodacom and should I not be paid back in cash for THEIR mistake, I will be taking legal action against them.
