My account was deactivated and my number taken away (grated this was my mistake). I was told I need a copy of my ID, proof of residence, and 3 months pay slips, and the same for my father - the supposed account holder (although the account was transferred into my name 2 years ago, no proof of this exist in their books although I have the documentation to prove it). Then I was told I didn't need all the documentation, only the necessary forms and copy of his ID was needed. This was faxed through to head office and I was told to wait 5 to 7 working days for reactivation. On day 8 nothing yet has happened and I inquired about this. It was after hours and I was told to come back on day 9. On day 9 I phoned again and was placed on hold, where after the phone was disconnected. I got through the second time and was told that I need to be the account holder and the phone promptly put down. I had the account holder contact them to check on the progress, where after it was made clear to him that the documentation has never been faxed through. Throughout the process I was patronized and met with apathy. Thank you Vodacom for training your staff to operate at the highest level of incompetence
