Account suspended without reason or communication

While checking out at Edgars in Wynberg (11 Oct 2013) I was advised that my account has been suspended pending verification. Highly embarrassed (having made a purchase just 2 days before without any hassle) my friend offered to pay for my purchase.
Neither the main account holder or myself (linked card holder) were advised or communicated to of the need to re-verify an account that we've had for over 8 years.
A few days later the main account holder & I went to Edgars Tygervalley ID books and proof of residence in hand. After standing in line over 40 min we were assured that the "update" would take effect within 24-48 hours.
Yesterday, I popped into Edgars Canal Walk to pick up 2 T-Shirts and when i got to the check out I was informed that my account has been blocked pending verification of the account. Over 60 days after doing what we were supposed to do the account was still not working. This meant I had to go to customer services and stand in line for over 30 min (4 consultants standing around to open new accounts but only 2 people behind the counter and able to assist with queries). I am highly irate at the lack of service and had to pay for parking adding insult to injury.
