I paid my RCS account in full on 31 October 2012 and phoned RCS Customer Care to confirm if they received the payment which they did and I told them I want to close the account completely. They advised me to fax through a letter of cancellation which I faxed through stating with immediate effect which was dated 1 November 2012. During November accounts phoned me to notify me that my account is in arrears as I made a purchase somewhere in Bethlehem. I have never been to Bethlehem, so I asked them who signed for the purchase and why didn't they check the signature on the purchase. They couldn't give me any answers. They advised me to get a police affidavit to state that it was a purchase on my account. I faxed all the documentation (cancellation letter, affidavit, copy of the RSC card and my signature) yet again. They kept on phoning me regarding the account that is in arrears and I kept on telling them what happened and that I sent all the documentation through numerous times. They listed me on EXPERIAN CREDIT BUREAU. I want to buy a property but can't do that as I am now on ITC, so the bank declined my application. I DEMAND AN APOLOGY LETTER TO CLEAR MY NAME.
