I struggled for 6 months getting a contract moved from my parent's name to mine. Only after making a huge fuss and threatening to cancel my contract with them did they attempt to do something about the matter. Now a few weeks later, waiting in anticipation to see if the account would be sent to me I was glad to see it arrive. When I opened the envelope however I was shocked and extremely upset! Deciding to go about this calmly I decided to phone the customer service helpline. I spoke to a lady who seemed very irritated and impatient to take my call in the first place. However I had a problem and wanted it solved. My account was billed for 3 times the normal amount. Everything on the invoice was added up 3 times. I explained and after holding for 5min she told me she could see was I was talking about. She told me that I still need to pay the ridiculous amount that I owe according to the FAULTY billing account. I told her that I was not going to do so, because she can see that it clearly is a mistake. She told me bluntly that I could pay my account as usual with the normal owing amount, but that they would suspend my services. Oh and I owe R150 for the change of contract too!!
