I took out a contract with cell C directly and requested my previous number to be ported,
Once I activated the phone I called the call centre to enquire about the porting of the old number, they requested the supervisor to call me back after listening to the recording on whether or not this was requested when the contract was taken out.
I called back after 48 hours, the supervisor on duty Bonisiwe Gina was in a meeting and the call agent said the supervisor would call back at 3pm.
Still no response after 4pm.
I called the call centre again and they have started the process again to determine whether I requested my previous number to be ported, this will take another 48 hours.
May have to cancel this contract - it is within the 7 days of receipt of the phone
