On 2-May-2013 I signed up for a 24 mth MTN Broadband 1G@229. I was not explained anything about the Data bundle contract but only told that if the computer is not working I must return it within 7 days for a new one. I left the store. At the end of June 2013 my billing was about R344.00. On 3-July-2013 I called 808 and because I could not make a call from my phone which said my account is suspended and I should contact my service provider. I was told that My account is standing at R3400.00. I was shocked and I was told that the data bundle was finished that it is a open line and that after the bundle is finished it charges. I was upset and told the agent that I was not informed that this is a OPEN LINE/CONTRACT. And by the way how DID mtn established that I reached my maximum BILLING amount. This is not acceptable. If I had know this is a open line I would not have taked it. I aslo have a Vodacom Data bundle of 2G and when it if finished I cannot use it which suits me fine. I took this contract because I could afford that R229.00 pm. Now I am sitting with a bill of about R3400.00 and you expect me to pay that account. For me this is daylight. I'm available 4/7/13 from 08:00
