I OPENED A CELL PHNE CONTRACT WITH VODACOM 27/12/2012, PHNE WAS DELIVERED BUT IT WAS AN OBF PHNE. RETURNED IT AND THEY DELLIVERED ANOTHER ONE ON 30/12/2012. A FEW MONTHS DOWN THE LINE THE PHNE GAVE PROBLEMS I CONTACTED THE CALL CENTER ADVISING THEM. I THEN REBOOTED MY PHNE AND IT WAS FINE. THEN LAST MONTH MY PHNE STARTED GVING SAME PROBLEMS AND SCREEN WENT BLANK. I TOOK IN TO CANAL WALKS BRANCH TO HAVE IT SENT AWAY FOR REPAIRS. I THEN GET SMS SAYING THAT AN ESTIMATE OF R948.72 IS DUE FOR FXING IT COZ IT HAS "LIQUID DAMAGE" AND RUSTED INSIDE??? FIRSTLY I DO NOT CARRY LQUIDS IN BAG COZ WE NOT ALLOWED TO WHRE I WRK. SECONDLY IF ITS RUSTED HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RUST YOUR TECHNICIAN COULDNT EVEN ANSWER THAT FOR ME ON SATURDAY WHN HE PHONED ME, WHEN I TOLD HIM MY PHNE IS 6 MONTHS OLD THEN HE TELLS ME "YES IT CAN TAKE 6 MONTHS TO RUST" NOW YOU EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THAT PHONE RUSTED CAUSED BY LIQUID SUPPOSEDLY AND THERES NO SIGN OF ANY LIQUID DAMGE ON MY LCD SCREEN WHEN I BOOKED IT IN. I WILL NOT ACCEPT THAT THE LIQUID DAMAGE IS FROM MY SIDE, THAT PHNE WAS A FACTORY FAULT PHNE WHEN IT WAS SOLD TO ME. NOW I MUST PAY A CONTRACT FOR 18 MONTHS WITH A BROKEN RUSTED PHNE INSIDE. AWAITING REPLY
