Not cancelling my contract as requested

Called and emailed my cancellation on 3 June 2013 as my contract period is up 3 July 2013. I received an sms advising that my contract will migrate to prepaid on 1 July. This morning I phoned 081 180 as my contract is still active. I was told that this will be taken up with cancellations and management.
As I have not heard anything so far I phoned again and the consultant told me I must just wait till 3 July and asked whether I emailed the cancellation, which I did on 3 June.
To top it off I wanted to take a new contract in Sandton City today and I could not because my details could not be verified and this will take 24hours apparantly.
Please someone sort out my contract issue ASAP. If a debit order goes through I will return this at the bank.
