So Cell C charges for incoming diverted calls

I have two contracts with cellc and since the one phone has been giving me network issues i diverted all my incoming calls to my second phone / line. When i checked the current usage on my first phone, the one with network issues, the amount on there was a bit higher than what i had expected. Thats when i called the customer care line and spoke to Nelson, who explained that thats because they charged all the diverted incoming calls on my account. I certainly wasn't aware of this and i even asked if they have notified or taken any action to make sure that their customers know this, he then said no you would only be made aware if you go through cellc to have your calls diverted. This also doesn't make sense has, why should i have to contact cellc to have my calls diverted when i can change the setting on my phone. Do prepaid customers also get charged for diverted incoming calls? Maybe in dumb, but it doesn't make sense that i pay for people that call me just because i changed a setting on my phone.
