We went away for the long weekend of 21st to24th of March to Bela Bela. We recently got a new Iphone 5 64GB contract in February 2013 from Cell C. While being in Bela Bela we went to the Cell C shop in Bela Bela to confirm that the new Iphone5 had insurance on it. At the Cell C shop in Bela Bela they confirmed that there were no insurance on the Contract we requested that they provide insurance on the contract. After waiting about 10mins the guy assisting us in the shop said that everything is fine that the insurance have been taken out on the phone and we can go now. During the weekend the Iphone5 was lost. On 31March we went to Cell C Menlyn to claim the Iphone5 from insurance. When we claimed the Iphone5 from insurance they told us that there is no insurance on the Iphone5, thus Cell C in Bela Bela by telling us that the insurance has now been taken out on the Iphone5. The guy in the Menlyn Branch said that we should take out the insurance now by phoning a number that he provided us and then claim the phone a few weeks later. We never did this as we see it. We now have to pay this Iphone 5 contract for 18months without having a phone due to Cell C Bella Bell lying.
