I received an sms from vodacom reading "Vodacom balance Notification for your information. Manatory account limit reached subscribers softlocked", which was surprising because Im on top up. I therefore phoned vodacom and I was told I have 2 new accounts on my name and in those account the money due is /-R8000. I told them the phones are not mine as I did not open extra accounts with them. I was told that accounts on my name were opened and Im owing, which was disappointing because it means Voda didnt do proper verification, I was then told I must pay /-R8000 which is due on my name till investigation on their side is done that will take a minimum of 3weeks, its impossible for me to pay that money because I dont have /-R8000 stored for a companies mistake for not getting solid verification. Voda did a mistake on their side by not verifying their customer identity and I should therefore suffer for that. The reference No. for my call is S3-TS127-7D6HM and I spoke to Nomawethu Langa and Yassar Kara who also told me to get an affidavit, my bank statement and a certified copy of my ID then fax it to 0115468888/0860082082 which I did and have proof of receipt. Im disappointed in Voda!
