Unable to cancel service

I have been trying to cancel my ADSL account since start of April.

At first my e-mails were "not received" although there are no invalid deliveries returned by Google. After notice has been taken of my query it has been "escalated", which in this case means forgotten.

I have now been paying for 3 months for a service I haven't been using. My alternative is to block the debit order and then probably be sued for not paying?
