I took out a contract with Virgin on May 05 2013 and requested that my number be ported from Vodacom to their network. Only on Sunday evening, June 16 2013 do I get notification from Vodacom saying I'm no longer on their network, however the Virgin mobile sim card does not work. I cant even call customer care from that sim card. When I contacted Virgin yesterday I was told that only the porting department can assist me with this matter and they don't operate on public holidays which means people can't get through to me and vice versa. Now I've spent the day trying to get through to customer care but I can't. This is unprofessional and a complete pain.
