To whom it may concern

My mother was contacted by a consultant, offering her an Autopage contract renewal, which she accepted.
The phone was delivered, and she asked me to assist in setting up the phone. Fair enough.

I advised, charge the phone overnight before we start setting up. Done. I contacted the customer care in order to get the data settings, this was sent promptly. Thank you for that. Then the trouble began...

Internet browser refuses to open, it simply gets stuck at the stage where it is loading the application. As does What's App. The consultant yesterday advises this is due to lack of airtime. Ok, but i for a fact know that an application will open whether there is airtime or not, it simply wont connect. It will open though! This phone's does not! Advising the lady at the SWest desk that the phone's battery life is less than 1 day, without use, she advised that it needs to be charged 8 hours or more. This was done, so why the fault?

She was not willing to assist at all, and all errors relating to the visit, was blamed on my mother's "incompetence"! /how dare she?!?!?!

If you deliver a faulty handset, is it still the customer's responsibility to resolve the issue?
