CONTRACT CANCELLED - UNLAWFUL DEBIT FROM BANKACC

Contract end date was 28 Febr 2013. On the 18th of Febr 2013 I stated in writing that I would not be continuing with the contract after the end date. This was also confirmed with a consultant who called me shortly after, due to the contract ending soon. I assumed that the last debit for the account would go off from my bank account as at the end of Mrch 2013.

Great was my surprise when I received not one, but two letters giving me notice that I needed to make a payment for the contract I had already cancelled. Within the letters it was stated that texts had already been sent my cell to the inform me of this. Sent to a phone no longer in use??

I sent an e-mail outlining my problem on the 28th of May 2013. This, however, did not stop MTN from unlawfully debiting my bank account with the amount in question on the 31st of May 2013 - I did not approve or had they any right to this amount!!!

I have sent numerous e-mails querying their actions, but have gotten no feedback what so ever. They have gotten their pound of flesh and the sattisfaction of their customers obviously means nothing.
