Cell C customer service is SHOCKING

I have been a Cell C customer for about 4 weeks now and it has been a VERY disappointing and frustrating experience.

Of those 4 weeks my cell phone has been blocked for about 3 weeks as I was signed up for the wrong contract package.

I requested a Straight Up 200 contract with an Iphone 5 - this was on special until 30 April 2013 including 200 free minutes, 200 sms' and 500mb of data for R399 per month.

I received the phone I had requested (albeit not in the colour I requested) but quickly learnt that I did not have the right package when I could no longer use my phone 3 days after receiving it.

I have been a loyal VODACOM customer for 14 years with an avg phone bill of R800. A move was a difficult decision, but Cell's C's recent media blitz encouraged me to make the change.

I am very disappointed in how this has played out, I lodged my first request (ref 3051801183) with a call centre rep (who was extremely rude!) on Saturday 18 May, then Monday 20 May, Thursday 23 May and Tuesday 28 May but have not heard ANYTHING from Cell C despite numerous assurances.

It is HIGHLY unprofessional for me not to have access to my cell phone for SO long.
