I had taken out a 3G data stick contract with Cell C last year in September on a 24 month basis. Ever since i have had enless problems, no network, slow connection, and I had sent in the stick twice for repairs. I decided to convert to adsl with Telkom. On the 1st June I sent Cell C an e-mail regarding cancellation. I received a response on the 3rd June saying that a rentention consultant would contact me in 48hours, to no avail. Today I called the Cell C customer service helpline, not once, but 7 times, only to be transferred from pillar to post with absolutely no asistance whatsoever. The consultants are extremely inefficient. In terms of the Consumer Protection Act, Cell C cannot hold me to a contract whereby I am dissatisfied. I will be contacting my bank to have the debit order cancelled, as trying to be professional and courteous in having this matter resolved is obviously a waste of time and money.
