Long standing customer - no details on system?

Called the Howard centre branch regarding my contract which is due for renewal/expiry in August. Called because someone told me that I would qualify fir a phone three months before the expiry date. consultant first advises that i do not qualify and then that I am on a R50 subscription and then he asks me 20 questions to update his system. I pay in excess of R250 a month and I expect that I should verify details and not "update your system" to only then find out what I want. Can someone from Cell C assist me with this or should I port to Vodacom come August?
