Internet 5 promo does not work and will cost you

Ought internet 5 promo last year dec 2012. worked for three months perfect. from feb this year 2013 the data package switches to a 2G and you will not be able to connect. called the call centre and reported incidents numerous times to 8ta. they all say they are working on problem and logged cases with them and they say they cannot reach me on my cell and all cases were closed? my cell has voice mail wink wink? and no messages even found. and hey I have email too!
now that I want to cancel due to them bridging the contact they say I must pay R800 and pay for the rest of the remaining contract?
