My father passed away during November. Since January I have been trying to change the account holder and banking details for our phone via the telkom helpline, with no success. The personnel working on this helpline is very rude and incompetent and I get referred from one person to the next with no success. Because i had no success on the helpline I went in to the telkom shop on 19 April when I was in Bloemfontein, the floor personnel could not help me so I requested to see the manager but he/she did not avail themself and sent Abe to assist me. Abe helped me and assured me he will do the necessary changes and I supplied him with all the documentation needed. It is now 6 weeks later and I have had no response and I can never get through on the number at the telkom shop. I have left several messages as requested by the automated response on the line, but nobody gets back to me. This is really a big problem as we live in a rural area and this is our closest telkom shop which is 350km away.
